Fujicolor C200
The first 35mm stock I ever shot with was Fujicolor C200 colour negative film. If you aren’t familiar with C200, it was a consumer grade film stock made by Fujifilm in the 1990s loved by all for its low cost and classic Fuji colours. C200 has lots of character and in my opinion is very far away from that classic ‘Kodak look’ with magenta, rich greens and blues as its focus.
To try and replicate the look of C200 on my LUMIX camera, I have chosen my LUT ‘Kitaura’ which you can download using the button below or get from the LUMIX Lab App. I’ve found by choosing a base Photo Style of Vivid and setting ‘Kitaura’ to 80% gives me a really cool look that definitely is reminiscent of this film stock.
In my experience Fujicolor C200 isn’t the sharpest so I’ve turned my sharpness down to -4 and set my Grain setting to Standard for this look. C200 film is a Daylight balance stock with muted warm tones so I’ve decided to set the WB for this look at Daylight (5500K) without any further WB shift. As always however you can change your WB to Auto for flexibility and even push the WB for a slightly warmer feel if you wish.
Another stylistic choice I made on this one is to push the Hue setting to +1. That forces this look to lean to the magenta side slightly which you can sometimes find happens when scanning Fujicolor C200.
